If you need a document notarized in Dayton, the price has two parts: the fee Ohio allows for each notarial act ($5.00) and a travel fee to come to you. I run a mobile notary service, so I come to your home, your office, a title company, or a hospital room anywhere in Southwest Ohio. Here is what you can expect to pay and why.

How much does a mobile notary cost in Dayton, Ohio?

A mobile notary in Dayton costs a per-act fee plus a travel fee. Ohio law sets a maximum a notary may charge for each notarial act (the stamp and signature on one document), under Ohio Revised Code Section 147.08. On top of that, a mobile notary adds a travel fee because the service comes to you instead of you driving to a bank or shipping store.

What you pay forHow it works
The notarial actCapped per act by Ohio law (ORC 147.08); charged per signature or document that needs a stamp
Mobile travelA flat trip fee that covers coming to your location in the Dayton area
Loan signingsQuoted per full package, since these involve many pages and a set appointment time

For a firm number tied to your exact address and document count, the fastest route is to call me at 513-226-9052. The travel fee is quoted in full when you call — it depends on your needs, location, and time — and you confirm the total before I head out. If you want to see how mobile travel pricing works across the region before you book, I lay it out on the notary fees and mobile travel page.

What makes the price go up or down?

Three things move the total: how many signatures need notarizing, how far I travel to reach you, and whether the job is a single document or a full loan package. A single acknowledgment at your kitchen table costs less than a stack of estate planning documents or a refinance closing with dozens of signature points.

Loan signings are priced as a package rather than per stamp. A mortgage closing, a refinance, a HELOC, or an investor loan signing comes with a set number of pages, a printing step, and often a scanback requirement, so I quote those as one job. If you want to know what that appointment looks like start to finish, see what happens at a loan signing.

One thing I want to be clear about: Ohio caps the per-act fee, and I follow that cap. The travel fee is the part that reflects the convenience of mobile service, and I tell you the full amount before I head out so there are no surprises at the door.

What happens when I come to notarize your documents?

The visit is short and simple. I confirm your appointment, travel to you, check a valid government-issued photo ID for each person signing, watch you sign in front of me, then apply my notary seal and signature. For documents that need a witness, I can arrange witness services as part of the job.

Bring the document unsigned unless it tells you to sign in advance, and have your photo ID ready. For loan signings and real estate documents, I review the package for blank fields and missing signature spots as we go, which is where a lot of closing delays start. If you are a real estate buyer or seller, the Ohio buyer and seller loan signing checklist walks through exactly what to have ready.

Same-day appointments are available when my schedule allows, so if you got a document today and it has to be notarized today, call and ask.

    Why hire Signed On Time?

I have run Signed On Time since July 28, 2017, serving homeowners, real estate buyers and sellers, businesses, individuals needing loan signings, healthcare facilities and patients, and military personnel and veterans across Southwest Ohio. A few things set the work apart:

    • I am NNA Certified, carry a yearly background screening, and hold a $2 million errors and omissions policy. For a loan signing or an estate document, that coverage protects the transaction if a mistake ever happened.
    • I go where the signing has to happen, including hospitals, nursing homes, and bedside visits for healthcare directives, power of attorney, and medical documents.
    • I quote the full price before the appointment, so the number you hear on the phone is the number you pay.

For refinances and home equity lines, the small errors that send a package back to the lender are avoidable, and I know where they hide. If you want the common ones spelled out, read refi and HELOC notary errors to avoid.

Where do you serve around Dayton?

I serve Dayton and the surrounding communities throughout Southwest Ohio, including Montgomery County and the cities and townships around it. If you are inside the Dayton metro, I can almost certainly reach you. You can see the full list of towns and counties I cover on the service areas page, and if your town is not listed, call and ask, because I travel widely.

How do you book an appointment?

Book online at signedontime.com/book-now or call me directly at 513-226-9052. Tell me the type of document, how many signers, and your address, and I will give you the full price and the soonest time I can be there. I accept Cash, Venmo, and Zelle.

    Frequently asked questions

How much does a mobile notary cost in Dayton, Ohio?

You pay a per-act fee that Ohio law caps under ORC 147.08, plus a flat travel fee for coming to your location. Loan signings are quoted as a full package instead of per stamp. Call 513-226-9052 with your document count and address and I will give you the exact total before I head out.

Do you charge extra to travel to me?

Yes, mobile service includes a travel fee on top of the notarial act fee, because I drive to your home, office, or a care facility rather than you coming to me. I tell you the full amount when you book, so there is nothing added at the door. The fee depends on where in the Dayton area you are.

I accept Cash, Venmo, and Zelle. Payment is due at the appointment unless we arrange otherwise for a business or title company account.
